It's never a good thing to begin a blog with an "au revoir," but we need to acknowledge the passing of legendary Creole accordionist "Bois Sec" Ardoin, who--along with fiddler Canray Fontenot--carved the terrain for much of the Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco music to follow.
So long, "Bois Sec." Keep dry and keep playing.
